About to get on the plane to head home - tired, proud and happy - excited for next steps with this beautiful community. Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this possible #boosted
Today we had our performance with Apii Nukutere, photos to come but for now we wanted to share Papa Mike’s reflections. He captures everything we hoped people would take away from our mahi - the ability of dance to unlock and share the voices of people with disabilities and the joy of audiences when they get to be part of it.
Massive day yesterday, three workshops with three different communities - ranging in age from 4-70! So wonderful to connect with all these beautiful people in Rarotonga. Thanks to our partners @autismcookislands@apiinukutere@creativecentre@apiinikao
And a huge thank you to all our @boosted.nz donors for their support which made this possible. #rarotonga #boosted #inclusivedance
Work has begun! A beautiful and creative workshop with Apii Nukutere and Autism Cook Islands. Isaiah and Lachlan really connected and found such joy dancing together - can’t wait for tomorrow!
We’ve arrived! Jolt is in Rarotonga for the next week and it was amazing to be welcomed so beautifully by Kat and Terina from @autismcookislands and @nukuterecollege - looking forward to the week ahead ❤️
On the road to Queenstown! Can’t wait to share Whakapapa with audiences at @teatamirawhakatipu on Friday 1 May.
