A reflection of the past 4 years💕 ~ I know, I know, last graduation post (i promise). I can’t believe it’s been 6 months since graduation and that I’ve spent over four years in PDX. So much has changed since freshman year, and when my friends asked what I’m going to do after graduation my go to answer was, “get the fuck out of here.” Low and behold I’m still in Portland 😂 and while I don’t think I’ll ever be a hiking/granola girlie or be eccentric enough for Portland, I’m grateful to have friends like
@elizabeth.yyy who would beg me to go hiking with her. I’m grateful to have met
@adrianaliwarga who’s taken me in since freshman year, invited me to me first party ever, and has looked out for me ever since. It’s funny that whenever I think of Portland I think of Adrian as the glue that keeps us altogether.
So much has changed, from being a public transit girly in nyc to then quickly realizing some “cities” require cars after my rude awakening after exiting the red line at Old Town Chinatown at night, and having to rely on the PioExpress to get me everywhere that would take me to the beloved “FredMeyers.”
Sometimes I wonder how my life would’ve been if I didn’t attend LC, but there’s no way I could imagine who I would be without meeting my amazing PNW friends, and having the opportunities to perform, be a student athlete, try new things, organize events, and find comfort in the student clubs I was a part of.
One thing that I’ve held onto dearly while away from home is that “friends are family” and I can say with warmth and gratitude that my family has certainly grown in PDX.💗💗
