To 2025 As a young black girl growing up in Belgium I wouldn’t believe everything that happened this year if somebody told me. This year has been fulfilled with so much growth, of exploration, so many adventures and a lot of love. Starting this year I haven’t predicted anything that has happened ( I was lowkey depressed), so I’m sooo grateful and beyond. A lot of times, we get caught in so much in life that we forget how privileged we are, I wake up and see what’s happening around the world and share it and sometimes forget all the blessings that are in my life. A lot of my friends always advise me that sometimes it’s easier to see at first the struggles or negatives thoughts before the love and appreciation. So I wanted to take this time before the « end » of the year to share my memories that I kept for myself and that build and still builds Joëlla and Joliiah. This year helped me to learn to let it go, to be out of my confort zone and to learn through different stages of my life even tho it can be uncomfortable. From living in Rio for a month lmaooo, to my adventures with my collectif @3ave , to share a line up with THE KAYTRANADA and with amazing locals artists, to my summer festival, to having a job for 6 months lmaoo and of course HANNAH MONTANA. To the new people in my life and to the old ones, thank you! Stay tuned in the coming days🧚🏾‍♂️ It’s gonna be lit💃🏾🌸👯‍♀️💋

En avril dernier, Joliiah passait par nos studios pour nous présenter son univers musical ainsi que son collectif @3ave.bxl 🇧🇪 Bercée par les sons de sa ville multiculturelle et de sa famille, Joliiah est une DJ Rwandaise basée à Bruxelles et co-fondatrice de @3ave.bxl Elle propose des sets électroniques aussi sensuels qu’imprévisibles, entre groove organique et vibes électro, et capte l’énergie de son public pour la transformer en un cocktail explosif 🧨 Via son travail, elle conte le récit d’une femme noire cherchant sa place dans une scène belge qui continue de cantonner les artistes noirs à des cases. Ce parcours l’a menée à co-fonder 3ave, un espace qui met en lumière des artistes noirs partageant leurs univers musicaux sans compromis. Côté tracklist, on retrouve un mélange de DJ LAG, Sam Binga, Ahadadream, DJ G2G, João Lágrima, Uniique, Hudson Mohawke, Nikki Hair, Miss Jay, T.no et bien d’autres encore !
