lil reflection on last night -- every time I post a reel of my choreo in a sesh with others, I reflect on what I've been doing with dance that's led me to... hosting a sesh ive never really regarded myself as a teacher. I don't think im necessarily qualified to call myself one for more reasons than one; I just have so much to learn still before I think of myself so. it's why ive always been adamant about any of my sessions to be a space to share and learn from one another; to support each other to experiment and grow. if you were ever part of my choreo sessions, remember that we're all on the same journey together, exploring different facets of dance, in the same space this choreo to folded felt like a love letter to the doubts that ive been experiencing in dance the past few months. it was less about hopelessness, and more to the tone of challenging ambiguity and knocking it over. getting to dance with 2 of my biggest inspirations in dance last night has me feeling blown away by how far all 3 of us have come since I've known you both. i am grateful, for all the space to experiment and feel whenever we 3 dance together 🫶 also im just really grateful for the space that @kennonnn and @brandududu has built for the community. im so grateful you asked me to be a part of it, not just community fridays, but having a say in shaping the studio thank you ✨ 👥 @jane_alexeeva @polinalksv 🏡 @imagineoneyvr 🎧 kehlani - folded (90s remix)

The whole process to get this piece to where it was on Sunday was a rollercoaster. 3 versions of the choreography and 3 formations later, here's a fun one :) Eternally grateful to Joe and Ginger for powering through all of our sessions and practices to tell a really fun story. this past week was filled with mourning and reflection. to be a part of a community that not only is so tightly connected with the city I call home now, but to have a community that isn't afraid to show so much love and support for one another in times like these is something I'll never take for granted, ever again. thank you for giving me room to explore and express all the waves ive felt this past week with this piece, megan. you've been a part of my journey since the beginning, and im excited to explore so much more 🫶
