It’s been a hot minute but…
Thank you. Never did we think we’d raise $5,000. Thank you to everyone who made this possible. Whilst the day was full of beautiful creativity, talent and energy, it’s important for us to take a moment to remember why we put Al Nas on in the first place.
The world keeps moving while Gazans continue to suffer daily, and after watching this abhorrent g*nocide for over two years, many of us have felt helpless, wishing we could do something. Al Nas became our way of taking collective action and doing our part.
We chose to split the funds so the support could reach several urgent areas of need, and below is a breakdown of where the money went and why.
Donation of $672 from
@chippolord donation keg went to a verified Mutual Aid fund, which sends support directly to individual families; in this case, it helped a family urgently needing shelter, insulin, and basic humanitarian aid.
Donation of $2,166 to the “Return Home” fund via
@thesameerproject , supporting emergency relief for people in Gaza facing mass displacement by providing winter essentials such as warmth, clothing, and other direct aid to help families survive harsh conditions.
Donation of $2,166 to the “Medical Campaign” fund via
@thesameerproject , delivering urgently needed medical care in Gaza by supplying scarce medications, essential medical equipment, wound‑care services, physiotherapy, nutrition support for malnourished children, mobile and in‑clinic medical days, and targeted aid for vulnerable patients while filling critical gaps left by larger relief organisations that cannot operate effectively.
Once again, we want to thank all performers, staff, volunteers, photographers, videographers, raffle donators, and to everyone who bought a ticket, raffle ticket and just donated. Thank you.
