What a night! Queer House kicked off its partnership with the @torontosymphony , welcoming guests to sip, mingle, and take in a very special performance of Epic Wagner—Legends & Lore.
The evening started with welcome drinks where new and existing friendships were forged and nurtured. A meet-and-greet with Beck Family CEO (and queer leader) Mark Williams was followed by the program’s first half, anchored by South African cellist @abelselaocoe and the North American premiere of @jessiemontgomerymusic ’s ‘These Riteous Paths.’
At intermission, refreshments were served in the Maestro’s Lounge where attendees also got the opportunity to chat with violinist and Associate Concertmaster, @matthakk .
The second-half of the performance featured selections from Richard Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman and Götterdämmerung — a compelling, high-impact introduction to live orchestral performance.
Post-performance, Soho House Toronto hosted Queer House guests to continue mingling and recount their favourite moments from the night.
