To all the incredible Black women working in advertising, media, marketing, and communications, we want to celebrate you! Join Our Table is all about raising the visibility of Black women working across these industries and we want to recognise you and what you bring to the table.
We've received such positive feedback about our campaign and we want to spotlight even more women. That's where you can get involved. All you have to do is fill out our form here: /r/joinourtable and we'll take it from there.
And if you want to support but you're not a Black woman working in these industries, and you know someone who is, share our form so we can acknowledge them.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined our Join Our Table Member Meet Up to watch An Ideal Husband @lyrichammersmith . It was a brilliant evening filled with sharp wit, laughter, and great company, which is exactly what our community is all about.
From pre-show chats to sharing reactions afterwards, it was wonderful to spend time together. We love bringing members together for experiences like this, and we are already looking forward to the next meet up!
Still thinking about last Wednesday 💫
For the third year running, we brought our community to @aweurope_ and the conversation on the unstoppable power of Black female brands did not disappoint.
From a premium drinks brand rooted in Ghanaian culture to a science-led skincare brand expanding into intimate wellness 👀—@jaynedoherty_@afriquespirits and @shalomlloyd@naturallytiwa shared powerful, honest journeys.
We asked: what do Black female founders need from adland?
Not just visibility, investment.
Not just inclusion, ownership.
Not just campaigns but long-term commitment.
More details on our blog.
One week to go until @aweurope_
Looking forward to seeing JOT founder @nache79 at our session. its going to be epic!

Last night we brought together an incredible group of mentors and young women for a speed mentoring evening with @beleve_uk hosted by @spotifyuk ahead of International Women’s Day.
This year’s IWD theme, “Give to Gain,” was felt throughout the room. Mentors generously shared their experiences, insights and encouragement, while also gaining new perspectives, energy and inspiration from the next generation.
Seeing those conversations unfold — and the confidence growing with each mentoring rotation — was a powerful reminder of why creating spaces like this matters. One of the highlights of the evening was hearing two of the young women say simply: “That was amazing.”
A huge thank you to every Join Our Table mentor who gave their time and wisdom. Several even asked if this could become a regular event… watch this space.
We’re also incredibly grateful to BelEve for the important work they do supporting girls and young women, and to @sallycops Spotify for hosting us and helping make the evening possible.
We are back for a third year running. Partnering with @advertisingweek is key part of our work to make Black Women more visible in the industry.
Huge thanks to the team lead by @ruth4reel for supporting us again this year.
28th March 4.20pm on the Culture stage. One not to be missed.

✨ Exciting Collaboration Alert! ✨
We're thrilled to partner with BelEve and @spotify for an upcoming speed mentoring + networking event in London 💫 We're all about spotlighting and supporting Black women, and we’re proud to partner with BelEve, who create opportunities for girls and young women aged 8–22.
Taking place in the run up to International Women’s Day, this collaboration is about giving back, sharing access, and building meaningful connections.
Big love to Spotify, our host partner, for holding space for this and supporting opportunities for our community 💚
👀 We’ll be looking for JOT members to join us as mentors — details coming soon.
What a way to kick off the year.
Last Friday, the Join Our Table community started 2026 by doing what we do best creating space for our people to grow, reflect and rise together.
We heard you loud and clear. You want to be upskilled, inspired and intentional. New Year, Brand You delivered just that.
Led by JOT member and powerhouse Adele Lewis Bridgeman, the session was energising and grounding in equal measure. It gave everyone the chance to strip away the noise, audit their careers and reconnect with their values and superpowers.
Four powerful takeaways from the room
✨ Know your values so your next move aligns with the life you want
✨ Design your ideal day not just your next job title
✨ Define your own role by owning your impact and strengths
✨ Build visibility with purpose and be your own best advocate
This was not just a conversation about jobs. It was about the quality of our lives and how we choose to show up.
If this is month one, imagine what the rest of the year holds. We are committed to supporting both your professional and personal growth with spaces that help you take up space and thrive.
The table is set. There is always a seat for you. 🥂✨
Join Our Table co-founder, Samantha Lewis, celebrates Black History Month by honoring her ancestors and the incredible spirit of the Jamaican Maroons.
The Maroons were formerly enslaved Africans who bravely escaped into the mountains, fighting for decades to achieve freedom and establish independent communities. Their story of survival, liberation, and unity is a powerful foundation of resilience.
This history is a source of immense pride and power for Samantha.
