Aisha decided to change that. What started as a desire to create more representation for Black climbers in LA has grown into something much deeper: a space where people feel safe, supported, challenged, and seen. Because community changes everything. It changes whether someone feels comfortable walking through the door for the first time. It changes whether people stay. It changes whether someone believes they belong there at all. And now? What once started with just a handful of people has become a movement built around joy, wellness, and connection. You can feel it in the energy of the room. In the encouragement between climbs. In the people pushing each other to become stronger — mentally, physically, emotionally. But the most powerful part is this: Aisha and this community aren’t just creating climbing events. They’re creating access. Representation.
