Well, you can’t say it was ever dull.
4x crazy years later and it’s sadly time to say goodbye. ❤️
There’s way too much to say and too many good people to thank in one post who’ve contributed in making the UNION into what it is today. From the early days of pasta pesto and Walmart tents, to Rose’s Maxxis star meals and losing Elite World Cups by 0.062, the staff and riders over the years have stepped up and evolved time and time again, pushing for performance with pennies and always going above and beyond for each other, whilst keeping it fun along the way.
For 2025 World Cup DH is going a different path and it’s not one we could be a part of unfortunately… but instead of dwelling on what could have been, let’s focus on some of the things we’ve achieved:
- 10x riders, 7x staff, 7x Nationalities
- 2x Junior World Cup Wins, 7x podiums + a 3rd place overall
- 2x Elite Male World Cup podiums.
- 7x riders and 4x staff members graduated to factory teams.
- 7x Elite World Cup Top 10’s. Countless other top 15/20’s.
- 10x National Champion titles.
- Countless National, IXS and Crankworx wins.
- US Open Elite and JR Male titles 2024
- Top 3x team ranking Loudenville WC 2023
- P10 UCI World Team Ranking 2024
- 2x shitty vans, 0 spare beds, 1x negative bank balance.
- 4x years of fun. 100% non profit since day one.
The UNION has and always will be about helping good people go on to do bigger things, a stepping stone into an ever shrinking club of elite competition, whilst maybe over achieving and smoking some of the big dogs along the way. 😂
Even though we won’t physically be there going forward, we can’t wait to cruise the pits and see all the UNION alumni do their thing on track for years to come.
Big love to all the friends, family, fans, staff, riders and supporters who kept us fuelled and motivated to give this a bluddy good go each season. It’s been amazing.
Cheers. Ciao. Churr. Bisous. Takk for nå ❤️
