What a fantastic book launch for TWWNROOS last night! Special thanks to @mike__nagel for driving all the way to Fort Worth and to James and Josie at @recluse_books for hosting. Extra special thanks to my kids for doing robot voices with the karaoke machine
Twenty years in the making. There were moments I could’ve quit, but I never stopped believing in these stories. Grateful they’re finally out in the world. Huge thanks to @cowboyjamboree and @gritvanwinkle for believing in them too—and for making this whole process the smoothest imaginable.
I’ve been a fan of @cowboyjamboree ’s output/aesthetic/whole dang deal for a long time, so I’m excited as all get-out they’re publishing my upcoming short story collection, dropping 11/18/25
for ‘please please me’’s 63rd bday, burial presents ‘phil spector responds to paul mccartney’s 4/14/70 letter concerning mccartney’s dissatisfaction with spector’s production on “the long and winding road” in the form of a blackout poem’ from the legend @johnwaddy - l i n k in bio!!!
if you order a copy of TWWNROOS directly from me now through the end of March ($15, includes shipping and handling), I’ll throw in an extra copy of @cowboyjamboreepress ’s Bob Dylan and/or Willie Nelson anthologies at no extra charge! DM if interested!
What an amazing week with some truly amazing people. Sold some books, bought some books, did a gimmicky interactive reading that went better than I could’ve possibly expected (so much so that I continue to get survey responses from all the scraps of paper scattered all over Baltimore with this QR code on them), ate exactly one (1) crab cake, rode the Charm City Circulator, hung out with old friends and made some new ones. Until next year! Photo credit: @aubri.kaufman

it's about a girl who gets trapped in a crowd crush during a big concert. i feel like the claustrophobic writing style matches the story - don't miss this !

Join us to get a copy of his first published short story collection. His writing has appeared in BULL, HAD, the Texas Review, Maudlin House, Hunger Mountain, and Vol 1.
