6th Annual At Home, In The Berkshires, Workshop 23-29 July The Limitlessness Within ~ How to Manifest and Sustain a Life in Photography One again, I am humbled and honored to have @haileycsadler Hailey Sadler joining in co-giving, co-teaching with me for this year’s At Home workshop at my home in the Berkshires. This year’s energy and expansion is on how to manifest and sustain a meaningful, working career in photography. Hailey will be guiding each photographer on how she gave to her meteoric rise as a photographer, becoming a National Geographic Explorer, working for all major magazines, global exhibitions, and more, all accomplished in a short five years. In complete vulnerability, I will be opening my entire career, from its beginning in art school, till today, the journey that manifested a decade-long career as a contract photographer with Time magazine, founding the photo agency, VII, 22 year photography career with National Geographic, and how in this present business of photography that is always evolving, there are unlimited opportunities to manifest your life and career in the art of visual storytelling. Visit the website, , (url also in bio) for much more insights into what to expect during our seven immersive days in dance of collaboration, living in the photography-ashram of my home in the mountains of western Massachusetts. We look forward to empowering your inner being, becoming in union within yourself, the fire of purpose and doing, that expands your life and photography through the limitlessness that resides within. 6th Annual At Home, In The Berkshires, Workshop 23-29 July The Limitlessness Within ~ How to Manifest and Sustain a Life in Photography So please announce this year’s, At Home, In The Berkshires, cohosted with fellow National Geographic Explorer and Photographer, the astonishing @haileycsadler Hailey Sadler! So often I am asked: “How do I make a living as a photographer?” “How do I become a working photographer in this era when everyone is a photographer?” “How do I do what you do, John?” These and many other questions are asked often. The answers are filled with unending possibilities — and why I am so pleased to welcome up to 12 photographers to the 6th Annual At Home, In The Berkshires gathering in western Massachusetts. The most incredible part of this year’s gathering at my home is the presence of special guest and co-giver throughout the week… Hailey Sadler. In 2020, Hailey had only just begun her journey in photography. A passionate human being with a gentle, compassionate way of seeing, there was something even more evident within her… she was deeply committed to giving herself to her purpose in this life. In such a short period of time, Hailey Sadler’s career has blossomed in a most profound way…becoming a National Geographic Explorer in 2022, cofounding The Home Collective @thehomecollectiveorg , working for all major publications, exhibitions, a teacher and educator, Hailey has also been the recipient of numerous grants — all achieved in only five rotations around our sun. Drawing from more than 30 years of my life in photography, combined with Hailey’s astonishing ascent into the photographic universe. Together, we will empower each participant with purpose, meaning, and practical insight into how you can manifest and sustain a life in photography during this ever-expanding era of limitless possibility. There are only a few spaces remaining for this photography expansive event. Register soonest at or from the link in my bio. So look forward to being with many of you this July, at my home in the Berkshires of western Massachusetts! John and Hailey

Earth Day 🌎 This critical day, and every day, is a need to give homage and respect to the ground beneath our feet. Topsoil that sustains all life on Earth, the only known planet to have soil, which allows us to grow food, live, and exist. Soil Extinction is a global narrative that unites and belongs to all of us. 🌱 ~ John Stanmeyer We are highlighting Maasai communities in Southern Kenya, digging Earth Smiles —curved bunds cut into dead, drought-stricken soil—to capture rare rains and restore grasslands. and harvesting grass from land once left barren by climate change and degraded soil. Restored through Earth Smiles and native seed planting, the revived grasslands now provide income, grazing, and renewed life to the land. Supported by JustDiggIt, this water-harvesting work is helping bring life back to the land for people, livestock, and wildlife. Photograph by @johnstanmeyer This project is funded by a grant from the National Geographic Society in collaboration with the Food for Tomorrow project and PepsiCo. @insidenatgeo @natgeo @justdiggit
