Made a little overnight US395 boys mission last week with Harlan. We had a blast. Every time I go up here I end up at Alabama Hills and Lone Pine, so on this trip I purposely avoided those places to see what else there is to find. We visited a few museums and drove some new back roads, and just got a different angle at the Eastern Sierras than normal. The Owen’s Valley is such a romantic place. We stayed in Big Pine.
It’s fun to explore with Harlan and watch him see things and react them. When I was a kid I was moved by seeing things in real life which directly lead to many fascinations.
