Thank you for all the kind messages yesterday. Been fighting off the blues as of late (like many of you) so we took the bike, drove 10 hours to Terlingua one of the most incredible, spiritual, secluded places with the most incredible skies you’ve ever seen on the planet. This place always teaches me what I need to know.
Perhaps the most bizarre thing about this trip (aside from finally wearing the hey dudes my kids got me for Christmas) was when the beautiful @fauxreil took me to dinner at The Starlight for my birthday and I saw a poster on the door for a singer/ songwriter that was playing that night. His name was Tom Andes and I thought that was interesting because the guitar player of one of my first bands in NH had that name but I thought there was no way it could be the same guy I haven’t seen in over 30 years. Turns out it was- in a town way out in Texas 3 hours from a major airport, population 75. Needless to say my mind was and still is blown. Turns out Tom is a really talented singer, writer, guitar player and I encourage you to check him out. Same heart and spirit from when we were 18 and it was incredible to catch up and see he’s still playing and still has the fire and kindness from our youth.

Our friend Steve and his FXR lives on through one of the best people who’s ever come into me and my family’s life, and many others. I’d tell you the plethora of examples but the post would be too long. Happy to be a small part of this with a bunch of FXR parts and we love you Don and miss you Steve. It was great to see so many old friends. Thanks Luis for putting this all together. Another real one. 💪🏼❤️🔥

Good catching up with and having my bro Dicky come by the shop yesterday. He’s always been like an older brother to me and has done a lot for me and my family and I have nothing but love for him. Masters degree level ball busting and laughs always.
Side note, I’m not in the Defiant anymore for the last year or so at least, but they put out a great Elvis Costello cover of Peace, Love, and Understanding that is worth checking out everywhere!

We won’t be doing this set forever but for the time being we are having a great reliving our youth and experiences making, writing, and performing this record in some of our favorite cities! NYC we will see you in a couple weeks with the great Cocksparrer!
Bombsquad (McColgan, Barton, Rioux, Williams, Rucker and firefighter Rob) are going back to Europe this summer! We should mention that we are working on a plan to get to the UK and more.
