Help Us Keep a Global Village Growing 🌍 | #GivingTuesday
Today isn’t just about giving—it’s about sustaining something truly special.
For almost six years, Global Village Kids has been a place where children and caregivers from all over the world learn, work, and belong together. This fall, I got to be part of the amazing team that helped turn that vision into a brand-new 501(c)(3) nonprofit, built from the heart of the Little Twigs Childcare and Greenhouse community. 💛
But like many early childhood programs, we’re facing some tough funding changes. This summer we lost Early Head Start support, and uncertainty around Best Beginnings scholarships is creating new challenges—especially for our incredible refugee and immigrant teacher-moms who rely on affordable care for their own children so they can keep teaching.
So this #GivingTuesday, we’re launching two important funds to help keep this community strong:
🌱 Root & Bloom Fund – Helps teacher-moms stay in the classroom by replacing expiring Best Beginnings scholarships.
🌿 Thrive Together Fund – Maintains small ratios, fair wages, and consistent care by filling the gap left by Early Head Start.
