Design Explorations — Rolex — I’ve had these Rolex explorations lying around for a bit. A while ago, I was checking out their current site and couldn’t help but notice a gap. The visuals and photography are world-class, but the web experience itself didn’t quite capture that high-end, prestigious feel the brand is known for.
I decided to give it a spin, focusing on a layout that actually does justice to those assets. I’m curious to hear your thoughts, did I hit that luxury mark?

An ode to Opgezwolle — Update — Super stoked to share the next section of my Webflow/GSAP tribute project. This time we’re going all in on the members: Sticks, Rico, and Delic. Because you know, without these guys, there’d be no Opgezwolle.
Two new sections, two killer GSAP moves, grabbed from the madewithgsap.com crew:
Intro heading: For the section title, I snatched text effect 015. It brings a hard, dynamic intro that really fits their legendary status.
Member Cards: Right after that, the cards for Sticks, Rico, and Delic slide in smooth with effect 003. Loving that clean, fluid movement.
Had some struggles figuring out the best way to rebuild the HTML structure in Webflow, because MWGSAP targets child classes combined with their parent in the css. But making unique classes per effect does the trick.

An ode to Opgezwolle
As a digital designer and Webflow developer, I’ve been getting more into GSAP lately. To play around with it, I came up with a fun little project combining three interests of mine: dutch hiphop (Opgezwolle), webdesign, and Webflow development.
The kickstarter for this was the introduction of GSAP interaction within the Webflow interface. Next to that, I was heavily inspired by the superb GSAP effects library from Made With Gsap. It opened up so many doors for me in terms of scrolling interactions and fun new ways to animate, without being too intrusive.
Here’s a little breakdown for what I’ve done so far:
• Header Section: An exercise to get acquainted with the new GSAP interface in Webflow. The timeline really helps with timing! (Still trying to get the hang of it; targeting the right children of a parent feels a bit janky sometimes.)
• Depth of Field Effect: Right underneath, I adapted effect 012 from MWGSAP. Instead of scaling images in and out, I simulated a depth of field effect, having the images fade out with a blur.
• Smooth Arched Text: Further down, I used effect 032 from MWGSAP—that arched text running on scroll feels so smooth.
• Scattered Titles: Finally, I used effect 049 from MWGSAP to dive deeper into the three Opgezwolle albums. Those scattered titles that come together on scroll really amazed me, so I had to give it a spin myself!
This project has been incredibly interesting so far and helped me understand GSAP a lot better. I’m still a no-coder, but with a little help of GPT, I’m able to make subtle changes and adaptations that come to mind.
