Well, being sat on the strikingly beautiful, granite clifftop at Porthcurno Bay may feel like a while off on this grey Monday but we are very happy to notify you of our programme at the Minack Theatre this year! The Songs of Joni Mitchell: Celebrating one of the greatest songwriters of all time, we are thrilled to bring Jesca Hoop & Lail Arad (acclaimed singer-songwriters in their own right) to perform intimate interpretations of their favourite Joni Mitchell songs. Tuesday, 29 September @thesongsofjonimitchell @jescahoopster @lail.arad Joshua Idehen: Performing a transcendent collection of poems filled with grief, euphoria and hope including track ‘Mum Does The Washing’, a whip smart poem examining how the world works. For those who caught him at KCM Church last year you'll know what a joyful and contagious performance we're in for! Wednesday, 30 September @joshuaidehen The John Martyn Project: A musical collective dedicated to the innovative and pioneering legacy of John Martyn. Each of the six artists bring their own story and relationship as continue to keep the spirit of his music alive. Thursday, 1 October @johnmartynproject Tickets for all three events on sale 18 February - set those alarms! @minacktheatre @cornishbank #thecornishbank #cornwall #falmouth #cic #livemusic #independentvenue #community #grassroots #collaboration #minacktheatre #thesongsofjonimitchell #joshuaidehen #thejohnmartynproject

This is John Martyn Project in their sellout show in Bruton. I told Blythe she was an animal after this one. I respect her for it though.

Tickets Now On Sale 🚨 We're thrilled to share that we'll be returning to London for a special one-off show at EartH on the 7th of February, 2026. As many of you know, we've decided to step back from full-scale touring to make space for our individual musical journeys—but every now and then, something special calls us back. This night will be one of those moments. EartH is a stunning venue, and we couldn’t think of a better place to gather with you all. We truly hope you can join us for what promises to be an unforgettable evening.

After seven wonderful years and hundreds of live shows celebrating John’s music, we’ve made the difficult decision to bring our touring chapter to a close. It’s been an incredible journey — one filled with unforgettable moments, passionate audiences, and the deep joy of bringing John Martyn’s music to life once again. We truly love what we do, and sharing this magical music has meant the world to us. However, with everyone involved juggling various commitments and projects, finding the time to tour extensively has become increasingly difficult. That said, this isn’t goodbye forever. While we’re stepping back from touring, we do plan to pop up now and again for one-off shows — so you haven’t seen the last of us! Our upcoming September tour will be our final run of full touring dates. Sadly, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are no longer able to perform the shows in Sunderland (Firestation) and Bury St Edmunds (The Apex). We’re truly sorry to disappoint those audiences and hope some of you can make it to one of the remaining shows on the tour. Thank you — from the bottom of our hearts — for supporting us, listening, and celebrating John’s timeless music with us over the years. With love and gratitude, The John Martyn Project Xx

A beautiful church concert this September in Bruton: after a sellout show in Totnes in January, I’m so pleased The John Martyn Project will return. Established musicians from folk, pop, and soul joined together to explore and interpret the remarkable legacy of John Martyn for a one off at the Jazz Cafe. The gig was so moving and sensual, they’ve been on the road since. Come along for wonderful music in a stunning setting.
