✨ Meet the Playwright: John Maclay
John Maclay is a playwright, adaptor, and lyricist whose plays and musicals have received over 100 productions throughout the United States and Canada. In addition to Lilly and the Pirates, John has collaborated on three other successful musicals with the wildly talented Brett Ryback, including Arthur & Friends Make a Musical!, Nate the Great, and Little Piglet Gets a Sister. He is also the author of adaptations for the stage of The Legend of Rock Paper Scissors (with composer Eric Nordin), Geronimo Stilton: Mouse in Space, Anatole: Mouse Magnifique (with Lee Becker and James Valcq), and three plays with collaborator Joe Foust: The Revolting Teens of Sherwood, Apollo and the Trials of Hercules, and Romeo and Juliet Walk into a Bar.
