Yesterday we celebrated the end of our field trip season with our wonderful Field Trip staff!! This past school year we hosted more than twenty field trips and welcomed over 3,000 kids to JKR !! 🎣🛶

It’s been 4 months without Brynn, Lita, and Garrett 🥲 We miss them big time- but we’re so excited to share what they’re up to now!
Garrett is in Austin taking classes at ACC.
Lita is enjoying married life with her husband Michael in South Dallas.
And Brynn is in Burlington, Kentucky, serving as a Teen Program Director at YMCA Camp Ernst 🏕️
While we wish we could have them back at camp every day, we couldn’t be prouder of all they’re doing beyond JKR. 🤍✨
This weekend we hosted something truly special… our JKR Alumni Camp!!
From former campers and past staff to the next generation of campers they’ve brought with them, it was so meaningful to have generations of JKR all in one place again.
We spent the weekend making new memories while laughing, reminiscing, and celebrating the moments that made camp feel like home.

We had lots to celebrate yesterday! First- congratulations to Mark on his one year JKR-aversery! We love having you here and couldn’t imagine this place without you and your hard work. 🩵
Our second celebration was for our beloved JKR windmill which is having its 96th birthday this April! The camp tree-line wouldn’t be the same without this iconic feature. Here’s to many years to come! 🎉

This little opossum is getting a second chance as it’s released onto our nature conservancy side! We love being a safe place for wildlife to return home 🐾
