One of the best parts of running a label is discovering what really sits behind a track, and let the artist speak about it.
Funny enough, we almost never discover music on social networks. But ‘Asteya’ by @mayankmusic_phl was one of those rare exceptions. And we are glad to have him on board!
For this interview, he told us about his inspiration from @guymantzur , old Indian movies percussions, non-western scales and the obsessive attention to detail behind his clean, powerful sound.

@mayankmusic_phl , one of the key figures behind the events collective @philadeep , transports us straight to South Asia, weaving his traditional, distinctive and spiritual Indian influences into ‘Asteya’, an evocative and punchy deep progressive journey. Rooted in a strong cultural identity yet crafted for the dancefloor, the track acts as a subtle bridge between worlds, where ancient inspiration meets contemporary club energy.
On remix duties we are delighted to welcome @johnkedingofficial , a true thoroughbred of the Swedish progressive scene. @johnkedingofficial is steadily building his reputation in the Prog House scene for the last couple of years.
His track ”Chug”, on Dissident, nabbed second place for Top Progressive House tracks in 2025, as voted by the DI.FM listeners, and ”Amsterdam”, on RKP, was recently cited as a top tune of the year by Quivver.
Last years ”Stellar” was used as the opening track by Yotto in his set. He had had several top 10 releases on Beatport with labels like RKP, Iconyc, XAKK, Superordinate & Dissident both with own releases as well as collabs and remixes.
