Take a deep dive into the life and work of electronic music pioneer Wendy Carlos.
Through archival interviews and musical excerpts, speaker @johnjfarrey (Dance & Electronic Lead at Amazon Music) guides us through Carlos’s groundbreaking work with the Moog synthesizer and how it reshaped modern music—alongside her public transition, which helped shape early conversations around transgender identity. Centered on Carlos’s own words, this lecture considers both her lasting influence and the complexities of honoring a deeply private artist. Register at the link in bio!

Creating shared memories with your favorite people is a blessing, and this past trip to Nepal with @andresbetancur is one that will mark our friendship. We marveled at the highest peaks in the world, tested our endurance climbing to 18,000 ft, and sat in silence watching the ancient cremation rites by the rivers edge. A memory that I will always remember is watching the sunrise from the summit, and the otherworldly indigo it created in its shadow. It was so beautiful I literally cried icicles.
No one inspires me more to get out there and chase adventure. Can’t wait for the next one.
At 5 years old, I told my mother that when I grew up I wanted to be the pharaoh of Egypt. That career aspiration never came true, but I got to do the next best thing - sailing the Nile with @tmcallister and #ilovevirat. Oh my Isis what a trip! Exploring temples in the morning, lounging on deck in the afternoon, and giggling like Girl Scouts at lights out. Please mummify me next to these two because I NEED them in my afterlife.
The sights: Kom Ombo, Edfu, Karnak, Winter Palace, Dahabiya Deck, The Nile, Esna, Giza.
Georgia is one of my favorite vacations I’ve ever taken. The mountain scenery is fairytale quality. The food, phenomenal.
Tbilisi’s mix of traditional and brutalicious architecture is absolutely captivating.
But the most impressive by far is the city’s thriving queer scene. I met artists and activists, all contributing to a community that is unique in this region of the world.
and for those of you who’ve read about it - Bassiani lives up to the hype. i was in awe of the Georgian straight men, who strip off their shirts, shake off their masculinity, and dance with complete abandon. More than any place I’ve been, Tbilisi feels like a revolution.
Thank you to the crews of @phreek.ge@tbilisipride and @eau_de_cologne_tbs for being so welcoming. Thanks to @deseariaqueestuvierasaqui for photo creds. It’s a long ass flight but I’m sure I’ll be back.

Big laughs and big adventure in Utah with this strapping crew. Zion and Bryce Canyon wowed us at every turn, and the add ons of rappelling, river floats, and backcountry ATVs showed us the back corners of this impressive area of the country. Purple mountains, her majesties, fruits, and half empty planes. #sundowners #quiethours #boondockers
