I'm always inspired by Rotary members' creativity and how it shows up in unexpected ways. In Evanston, Illinois, that creativity shows up in a local brewery.
A limited-edition beer called Purple Pinkie is raising awareness for @EndPolioNow . Named for the ink mark children receive after vaccination, it's a symbol tied to a global effort.
Ending polio doesn't just happen on the front lines. It happens in communities, through partnerships, and through everyday people who find innovative ways to move the work forward.
What I see in efforts like this is a reminder that progress often starts with one creative idea.
Chat, last year I asked Rotary's young leaders to write me a script. They ate and left no crumbs, so I had to flex with a fresh edit. Clock it!!

What’s your favorite part of a Rotary International Convention?
For me, it’s reconnecting with friends, meeting new members, and seeing the commitment people bring to their communities. Looking back at past conventions reminds me how powerful this global network is—and how much these connections matter.
I hope to create more of those moments in Taipei at #Rotary26 this June. What are your favorite convention memories?
I've had the opportunity to meet and work with many Rotaractors, and I always leave those conversations encouraged and energized about the future of Rotary.
Young leaders in Rotaract are bringing innovation and determination to the challenges facing their communities. I encourage Rotarians everywhere to support and partner with Rotaractors as we work together to create lasting change.
Sharing a few photos of Rotaractors who have inspired me along the way. Happy #WorldRotaractWeek!
The Milano Cortina Olympics were a bucket list moment for me. One I'll be smiling about for a long time ❄️ 🏒
Seven hockey games in five days. Ski jumping, cross-country skiing, and a dramatic U.S. overtime win against Sweden to close out our Olympic marathon.
Even better, Marga and our daughter Maria were there to share it all. Experiencing the Games together made it even more special.
Rotarians around the world are passionate about making a difference.
They love the friendships, the shared purpose, and the chance to be part of something bigger than themselves.
Those passions come alive at a Rotary Convention. It is where stories are shared, connections are strengthened, and the spirit of Rotary is celebrated together.
I am looking forward to continuing those conversations in Taipei.

Progress starts with asking the right questions and taking the time to truly engage with one another in the answers. At the International Assembly, district governors from around the world asked me questions about issues that are important to Rotary. I want to share a few with you here.
In this video, DG Sam Chikowore, from District 9210 in Southeastern Africa asks: "How would you want to see Rotary evolve over the next 5-10 years?" By connecting people across borders and perspectives, Rotary helps move conversations beyond surface solutions and toward lasting understanding. That human connection is more important than ever.
This past week in Orlando, Rotary’s District Governor-elects gathered for International Assembly 2026 to prepare for leadership, deepen connections, and reflect on Rotary’s shared purpose.
Across the Assembly, speakers reinforced what makes Rotary strong — adaptable leadership, meaningful partnerships, and a commitment to creating lasting impact. From conversations about evolving club models to powerful examples of global collaboration, the message was clear: Rotary leads by listening, learning, and acting together.
The International Assembly also served as a reminder that leadership in #Rotary is never a solo effort. District Governor-elects leave with new tools, a fresh perspective, and the support of a global network united by service.
These leaders return home ready to guide their districts with confidence and optimism, carrying forward Rotary’s mission and the momentum built together this week.
More than one in 10 Canadians report feeling lonely. For young people ages 15–24, it’s nearly one in four.
In a digital-focused world, real connection can feel out of reach. But the cure may be closer than we think.
Joining organizations like @rotaryinternational remains one of the most effective antidotes.
What an energizing day at the #UN80 celebration in San Francisco. Speaking on the same stage where the Untied Nations founding documents were signed was a powerful reminder of how far global cooperation has come, and how much opportunity lies ahead. I am beyond grateful to all who contributed to such a meaningful gathering.
