SoCal friends, on Wednesday, October 22nd, I’ll be participating in a roundtable discussion for the next Electronic Dance Music Association at USC workshop at Tirebiter Brewery in Los Angeles.
This edition aims to highlight the various career paths people explore in the electronic music industry. As you can probably guess, I’m there to speak on behalf of the news media.
This is after I speak as a guest during an actual USC music class. That one unfortunately isn’t free to the public — but the workshop is.

Peter Wohelski didn’t simply live through the early rave era I’ve only been fortunate enough to read about.
He was an active participant at the highest level. He rubbed shoulders with an astounding number of the greats — many of whom he worked with directly.
That’s why I’m humbled by his decision to tap me to interview him during the launch party of a compilation of his early ‘90s zine, Trip Magazeen.
Make no mistake: I have questions. Peter captured a cross-section of rave history right smack dab in the middle of its explosion. There’s a lot to unpack here, and I look forward to doing it.

The Black Monarch Hotel in Victor, Colorado is letting me host an appropriately excessive rager. It's going down Saturday, September 20th: All rooms, all night. No sleep will be had until well into the next day.
