Bumped into heaps of kids from Suzanne Cory High School on my way into Melbourne to help announce a huge deal for our public school teachers and staff! We're all doing this for students like them — making public education the best education.

Neighbourhood Houses Week celebrations are happening at @iramoocommunitycentre ! I dropped by to say g'day to the folks and the amazing staff and students from Wyndham Central College who cooked up a feast for the community lunch yesterday. It's been an honour to sponsor such a wonderful event all about connecting, learning, and celebrating everything that makes this town what it is. Thank you to the legends who give their time and effort to keeping our community strong.

Here's a wrap up of a short, but very busy, Parliament sitting week this week! Hosting tours for lovely constituents, meetings and chats with advocates and departments — and accidentally hard launching some exciting personal news in the chamber 😬😬😬 Also want to give a big shoutout to Charlie who completed work experience at my Parliament office — it was great to have you mate!

Yesterday, I delivered my Budget reply in Parliament. The 2026/27 State Budget continues our Labor Government's commitment to use the levers available to us to improve the lives of people in communities like ours. Here's a little bit of the speech — there's more on my Facebook, and you can read it in full on Hansard.

I spoke in Parliament today about the Inquiry into fraud and corruption control in local government, and issues surrounding Wyndham City Council. I welcome the appointment of independent monitors at Wyndham Council, and trust this process will restore confidence in council governance.

The Member for Kew just had a chance to set out how the Liberals would support the western suburbs. She neglected to mention us even once. The only plans for our community the Liberals have is to remove carriages from Wyndham Vale services, and "fast-track" more housing without any infrastructure plan. Only the Labor Government is on the side of folks in the west — we're boosting capacity on the Wyndham Vale line, investing in our schools and hospital, building more local roads, and delivering cost of living relief.
