One year ago, today
We spent two idyllic days recording with dear friends from the iconic Figura Ensemble. To say that the setting - the studio and our engineer, John Fomsgaard - were singular would be an understatement. Safe to say that the the music, warmed by a wood stove with the ocean close by, went to a whole ‘nother place.
Expressing deep gratitude to Jesper Egelund Pedersen for his organizing and voice as an improviser.

Vi glæder os.
I have been meaning to share some of the new work that my wife, Brigid Kennedy, has been making recently. These images are part of her ongoing Reflections Series, and are based upon photographs I made during a recent visit to Denmark with Adam Rudolph. These are three views of the Karmacrew recording studio on the island of Møn, outside Copenhagen. Adam's Sunrise quartet - Adam, Kaoru Watanabe, Alexis Marcelo and me - spent two days with members of the Figura Ensemble - Anna Klett, Matias Seibæk and Jesper Egelund - being recorded by studio owner and master engineer John Fomsgaard. I have included two images of the studio for context.
I continue to be inspired by my wife and the work she does. I am, truly, a fortunate man! Please follow Brigid on Instagram @brigidkennedyart and visit her website /

Setting up for two days of recording with friends from Figura Ensemble at the KarmaCrew Studio on Møn Island. Wonderful, calming rural setting with a swimming beach just down the hill from our work space.
More anon.
