On a Throwback Thursday, reminiscing about my NY Sextet's 2008 performance at the Red Sea Jazz Festival in Eilat, Israel. Here's a video of our brief encore tune to end our Israeli national television broadcast performance. Some great playing by Scott Wendholt (trumpet), Walt Weiskopf (tenor), Allen Farnham (piano), David Finck (bass) and the late Dave Ratajczak (drums).

Big fun guesting with Vaughn Wiester’s Famous Jazz Orchestra on Monday night in Columbus OH. Got to play with a lot of longtime OSU friends including drummer Jim Rupp and tenor saxophonist Randy Mather. @xobrass
A few shots from my visit to Youngstown State University. A lot of fun playing and working with these students. Thanks to Kent Engelhardt for bringing me in, and the continued support from XO Brass to make this residency happen. @xobrass@danamusic_ysu #jazztrombone #jazzeducation
Had a great few days in residency at Dallas College-North Lake campus. Enjoyed working with Luis Palacios and his students as well as sharing the stage with the great bassist, Dennis Marks. Thanks to @xobrass for their support of my visit. @dallascollegenlcmusic

Aside from getting a flat tire on my way there (!), I had a fun time at my visit to @tarletonstate

I had a great time playing at Parker Jazz Club tonight. A fantastic club with a really nice crowd which included the great Nathaniel Brickens of the University of Texas Austin Trombone Studio. I’ll look forward to playing here again!

Had a great time working with the University of Texas Austin Trombone Studio today. The group was over double this size, but we spilled into the next class period. Who knew trombone could be that interesting?
