This August, I’ll be back at the Mendocino Art Center in N. California for 2 workshops: a 3-day Making workshop and 4-day firing workshop. If you’ve been to Mendo, you know. If not, it’s one of the most picturesque towns on the Pacific Coast; where Wine Country peters out into the Redwoods while crashing into the Pacific. And the MAC is one of the coolest studios anywhere. Right in the middle of town, a stones throw from the ocean. The studio is fabulous, and we will fire their two wood kilns simultaneously. I’m halfway though a whirlwind, 2-month working tour of Indonesia, Germany and Italy, and have had no time to post. Chika and I are now in Venice, and I have a bit of time in the early morning. My trip started in Bali Indonesia, doing a 2-week making and firing workshop in Ubud Bali. Hillary Kane created the wonderful Gaya Ceramic Arts Center, and it was such an honor to be invited to lead a fire of the anagama there. Germany to come…. When I find time. #gayacac #ilovedix
