As we wrap up Staff Appreciation Week, our Thursday and Friday festivities were filled with love and gratitude! 🫶🏽
Staff enjoyed a delicious home-cooked meal provided by one of our amazing JBES parents and professional caterer, Mrs. Shayla Scott. Friday ended on a relaxing note with staff massages, while our PTO went door-to-door delivering beautiful roses and thoughtful supplies to our team.
It truly has been an incredible week celebrating the amazing staff that make JBES so special! 🌼

Today, our Chess Club took their competitive skills to the boardwalk to show off all they’ve learned this season! ♟️
We also honor and salute our amazing school nurse, Nurse Rahkim, during National Nurse Appreciation Day for the love, care, and support she provides to all of our JBES scholars each and every day. 🩺💙
To celebrate Staff Appreciation Week, our staff participated in a fun “Punch Cup” game filled with prizes, treats, and lots of surprises! 🍬🎉

JBES is so proud of our CES Scholar’s achievement as we celebrated their hard work with a “Brilliance Beyond Labels” Prom. The event was sponsored by our CES Department which included dancing, an awards ceremony, delicious food, sweet treats and a dressed-to-impress good time!🧩💛✨
🔬 🌟 STEM DAY at JBES!
Our scholars explored, created, and discovered through hands-on learning at every station! From STEM with Play-Doh, flower pressing & planting seeds 🪴, a special veterinarian visit 🐾, straw rockets 🚀, PEPCO energy learning ⚡️, paper airplanes ✈️, to the Germ Lab 🧪—- it was a beautiful day full of curiosity, creativity, and fun!

Today was a moment in history for JBES.
We proudly launched a new legacy with the induction of our very first chapter of the National Elementary Honor Society. Our charter members set the tone for what it means to lead with scholarship, service, character, citizenship, and responsibility.
Watching these students step into this moment with pride, purpose, and promise was powerful.
