I recently joined a bipartisan group of lawmakers and local leaders to introduce HB 1072 to tackle NC’s affordable housing crisis.
Our bill equips Habitat for Humanity and other partners with the resources they need to build more affordable homes statewide.
This is a critical issue affecting families and communities across our state, and we must take meaningful steps to close the affordability gap.
Great having House Pages Ava Cooper and Lovely Harris from Wayne County with us at the General Assembly this week. They also had the special opportunity to join us for a bill signing and meeting with the Governor.
Exciting day welcoming 5th graders from Rosewood Elementary and Wayne County Chamber’s Junior Leadership Class to the NC General Assembly today!
Always enjoy giving students from back home a firsthand look at how our state legislature works. Their curiosity, questions, and excitement made for a great day.
Excited to celebrate the groundbreaking of Prolec GE Waukesha’s expansion in Goldsboro! This $140 million investment will bring 330 new jobs to Wayne County. A huge win for our workforce and economy!
An awesome weekend celebrating our hometown Super Bowl champion, Jarran Reed! A great role model who continues to give back and inspire the next generation. Goldsboro is proud! 👏 🏈
Enjoyed spending time with the Student Council from Charles B. Aycock High School at the NC General Assembly today. A great group of students and future leaders! 👏🇺🇸
It was an honor to have NC House Rep. John Bell with us on Monday.
Representative Bell serves as Chairman of the House Rules, Calendar, and Operations Committee, where he plays a critical role in guiding legislative priorities and procedures in the House.
In addition, he is a former House Majority Leader and serves on the Appropriations Committee.
I value his leadership and legislative focus and look forward to what we can accomplish together in Raleigh.
Enjoyed visiting with the 4th graders at @waynechristianschool to talk about public service and state government. A great conversation with some incredibly bright students!
I’m honored to be named the 2026 House Hospitality Champion of the Year by the North Carolina Restaurant and Lodging Association.
I will always be a strong advocate for our state’s hospitality industry and the thousands of jobs it supports.
Great event last week celebrating Wayne County businesses and organizations that have reached the remarkable milestone of 100 years of service. An incredible testament to their lasting impact on our community and economy!
