John Krause recently returned from closing out the national tour of Hadestown in the role of Orpheus. Previous credits include: Hadestown and Fun Home (Broadway) Wicked and Green Day’s American Idiot: The Musical (Nat’l Tour) Regional productions Rock of Ages (Venetian, Las Vegas) Newsies (Sacramento Music Circus) and The Secret Garden (Ahmanson Theater) John is also the lead vocalist of the band Birds at Night. He currently lives in Sherman Oaks with his wife Molly and dog Maxine.

Really special time with momma @joanckrause aboard the @celebritycruises Eclipse. Made and shared so many memories I’ll cherish forever. Swimming in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean, gliding down rivers in the Dominican Republic, and exploring the beauty and rich history of Old San Juan. Not to mention sharing every meal, swapping countless stories, and taking in as many sunsets as we could. We’re thrilled to announce and welcome Broadway’s Emma Hunton (star of Good Trouble on Hulu, Spring Awakening and Next to Normal on Broadway, Elphaba in Wicked National Tour), John Krause (Hadestown on Broadway, Wicked National Tour, Jesus Christ Superstar at the Hollywood Bowl), and Diana Huey (Disney’s The Little Mermaid) who will lead the world premiere of Nico Juber’s Millennials Are Killing Musicals. The production will be directed by Tony Award-nominee Kristin Hanggi, best known for the Broadway and global smash hit Rock of Ages.
Anthony Lucca (Calvin Berger and The Civility of Albert Cashier at The Colony, King of Pangea) will serve as music director, arranger, and orchestrator, and Michelle Elkin (associate choreographer Wonderland on Broadway, The Wedding Singer at The Colony) will choreograph. Casting is by Michael Donovan, CSA, and Richie Ferris, CSA.
New musical. Major talent. And it’s all happening here at The Colony Theatre.
