An excellent weekend of varied activities ! 🔊⭐️ Saturday saw a road trip to Oxford as back in the day joined Soulfunkalicious for a daytime party that was absolutely fantastic. S/O to resident DJs Bobby Dee. Jon Jules and James Anthony for their fantastic sets & my partner in crime Martin in full swing. S/O to all those who travelled to hear us play and to the Oxford Massive 💃🕺 ⭐️ Sunday saw a different passion of mine as I took place in the Tewksbury half Marathon. This event hasn’t taken place in over four years and I’d never ran it previously. It was great to see the streets of Tewksbury lined with runners from all around the UK doing either the 10k or half marathon Tough conditions with the wind 💨 but thankfully we avoided the rain ☔️ and got through with a sub two hour half marathon. Very pleased with that 🥇. S/O to the Orange army Hucclecote Harries. 👟❤️👟 ⭐️ Rounding off the weekends activities my radio show on GFM 96.6 where I bring you six decades of soulful grooves every Sunday from 4-6pm during the month of April. Thanks to all those who tuned in 📻 & set msg.

Kicked started Good Friday with a Birthday celebration 🎂 as Café René turned 23 🎁 & we had a legend in the building with Norman Jay Mbe gracing the decks with a real journey through music with a superb selection a cross the genres intricately pieced together track by track. Week in & week out Cafe Rene bring live music & Djs to the city of Gloucester & this was a first for them doing a ticketed event. It was an honour to be asked to play the set before NJ 😀 s/o to my fellow spinners on the night The Sound of The Sunken Foal Ade Simpson Joseph John Darke Howie Jackson ⭐️ Saturday saw BackInTheDay host another day time Party. This time in Cheltenham Imperial Haus The Management of this stylish independent venue worked along side us in a different capacity when we were at Registry so it was fantastic to rekindle that partnership & we look forward to working together with them in the future❤️ s/o to Martin Infullswing Rafferty as always ⭐️Saturday night being the first Saturday of the month saw me returning to Cafe Rene for my monthly residency. I’ve Dj’d at this venue on & off for over two decades & it holds a special place in my heart for countless reasons. Thank you to the Management & team for all they do 👏👏👏, here’s to many more years 🍻🥂 ⭐️ Sunday rounded off a weekend of music with my bi monthly radio show on Gloucester FM aka GFM 96.6. This community radio station has been running for 26 years providing music of black origin to the masses.
