Before Times.
A photo I often come back to from one of the first backpacking trips I did with @brianchorski when I moved to WA. (- summer 2019)
This one is printed in my old bedroom at my parent’s house, serving as a reminder that photo work is meant to be hung on walls not lost on hard drives.
It’s been a while since I’ve stopped along a highway to get out and photograph a scene like this. A metaphor to get out of daily rut and simply be present.
I found as soon as people noticed I was taking photos of this, I had a line of cars all stopped behind my car with hazards on as they decided I must be onto something. Pretty beautiful moment if you ask me, maybe not so much for road safety though.
All sorts of shitty things happen everyday, but this also exists and it’s okay to enjoy it.
First time back in the Valley I’ve had to just chill and shoot photos in some time. Dusted off the film cameras and now have some motivation to get the rolls in the fridge to the lab. Maybe back to sharing some work on here again soon.
