Iāve known @hgn____ since I first moved to Bristol many moons ago, initially connecting to record grime tracks that never saw the light of day.
Since then, weāve both changed paths, taken breaks and grown into the people we always promised each other we would become. It therefore felt right that I finally interview him.
We talked about his first forays into music, the Bristol hiphop scene and his journey to sobriety. We also discussed his LP āAchilles Healā, a vinyl copy of which he brought along to play.

@wearesource_ have got to be the hottest RNB group in Wales rn. Blending jazz, neo-soul and hip-hop, their debut single āNever Beā reminds you to breathe slower and love more.
Consisting of @calumconaghan , @lilywebbe_ , @brunagarciamusic and @jessika_.mp3 , they are dedicated to creating a sound built on radical honesty and collaboration.
I caught up with them a few months back, and one thing I had to know: what are they manifesting?

Q1 status report: šš¤šŗš»š«šš
Felt a bit creatively lost this last few months. Was feeling overwhelmed before Chrimbo and allowed myself to take some time to reprioritise.
Iāve been working hard at the day job. Iāve got a bit more responsibility now, Iām feeling challenged in a good way and learning a lot of new skills.
Outside of work, Iāve been make an effort to spend more time socialising and do more movement. Focusing on being more present in the real world rather than sacrificing that to stay present in the digital one.
Iāve been making quite a bit of music again. Still undecided on what to do with it all, but Iāve been getting the enjoyment from the act of making rather than doing it for the purpose of a result.
If Iām honest, Iāve had no desire to do any interviews or produce any content outside of my radio show. Not locked in, you could say. Being kinder to myself, Iād say.
I havenāt really come to any conclusions yet but I do know itās time to get back to business. New bits coming this week!

Two years ago, LANG straight up dipped šāāļø
He bought a bike a cycled as far away as possible, and ended up in Australia. Heād always been creative, working as a videographer and photographer. However, he had a deep urge to try music. So, whilst driving around the outback in a van, he locked in and created a 23 track album. I thought that was worthy of an interview.

For the first time in over 3 years, two of my productions have been released. A lot of you probably only know me as an interviewer, but my origins lie in production. Took a long hiatus but quite unexpectedly, my music can now bless your ears once again š

My beats āAuburnā and āGrandmaās Kissesā were both throw away ideas, nothing more than a way to express some pent up creativity. However, Rome saw opportunity and brought em to life, and Iāll forever be grateful! š
