Two weeks ago, we had a grand ole time laying down a
@turquoisegate power set before a cadre of OUTamatons assembled as The Tennessee Vomiteers to pay tribute to the music of Col. Bruce Hampton on his ascension day.
Lucas Ketner sat in with Turquoise Gate for our set and was the âCount MâButuâ for the evening. Hereâs all the other players that got up to help make the joyous noise. Me (guitars,vox), Joel Forlines (vox, guitar, steel guit), Bill Ferri (bass), Rich Mahan (guitar), Kaitlyn Connor (keys), Ray Dunham (drums), Brook Sutton (bass), Daniel Cox (drums), Jonathan Abel (drums), Dave Yoke (guitar), Matt Wise (guitar), Ben DeBerry (guitar), Mike âSpankyâ McCluer (bass), Jefferson Crow (keys), Keegan Pavlovic (bass) and last but not least, Nick Buda (drums) and Ted Pecchio (bass).
Both sets can be seen/heard on Jim Johnstonâs YouTube channel called HeARTIST4life
Just search that and âTurquoise Gateâ and/or âThe Tennessee Vomiteersâ and youâll find them
After paying the Production Costs to help
@thebasementnash on May Day, we are able to donate $230.58 to Stand Up Nashville (
@standupnashville ). Thanks to
@maryamfortn for speaking that night a little about their mission and Kate Briefs for talking about the importance of voting in local elections.
Here are a few candid vid snippets that our friend
@redhotjohnna (Johnna Neel) caught of Turquoise Gate doing Gary Wrightâs âLove Is Aliveâ and Bruce Hamptonâs âElevator to the Moonâ and the Vomiteers during âLovelightâ. Nowhere is Now Here and Space is the Place. #zambiforlife
