This exhibition presents 45 original works from The Gull Yettin, created by Joe Kessler between 2018 and 2021, alongside related materials.
As both a comics artist and printmaker, Kessler constructs his visual narratives through a distinctive printmaking approach. By layering and interlocking red, blue, yellow, and green, he composes an entire graphic novel through image alone. Within these original works, one can closely trace his methods of structuring compositions and orchestrating color.
The exhibition also includes 15 standalone works—oil paintings and prints—that emerge as extensions and sparks from the world of The Gull Yettin.

The Gull Yettin, an exhibition at Onerio Space to celebrate the publication of the Chinese edition from Salt Circulations. The show will be up until the 12th of April.
