Very happy to share that I will be exhibiting and carrying out a workshop around my red paintings at @sohohouse Berlin.
“Studies on Red with Brok Clark” - Saturday 9th of May at 18hrs.
The workshop will explore why red is such a special colour, how my process to find the most elegant red works, how layers work and how Mark Rothko influenced my process of finding depth in 1 colour, Red. Like an ocean.
There will also be blank canvases for attendees to paint on so they can better understand how the layering works and how different media can be mixed (pigment, oil, aerosol, ink, oil sticks, etc.) in order to get a unified and deep final red.

Mega event at @thfradio , thanks for the invite @tinavonkugler . Interesting to see one of the new big red paintings in a completely different context to usual. I was surprised how warm the atmosphere felt with a big red painting at the radio station.

Tonight is the finissage at Gewölbekeller, Strassburgerstr. 53
I visited yesterday and it was spectacular.
