Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers out there.
For me, motherhood has been about raising these two amazing little girls and helping them become as fierce, powerful, and wonderful as women as they can possibly be.
I believe so deeply in sport because sport builds resilience, discipline, confidence, and strength — not just physically, but mentally and emotionally too.
As a mother, all I want is for my girls to be successful, strong, and happy in whatever path they choose. I believe strongly in both education and sport, and I know that through those two things, we can help guide them exactly where they’re meant to be. 🤍
I just want to give a shoutout to sport—and the lifelong friendships that come with it.
It’s kind of amazing when you think about it. Through sport, I met one of my closest friends, James Black. He’s a legend in hockey, and both he and his father have deep roots in soccer as well.
When I went through my divorce, I knew I needed to get Charlie into something positive—something that could give her structure, confidence, and community. I had missed the tryouts, but I reached out to James, and he connected me with Cody, who’s been incredible with Scottish.
Three years later, Charlie has grown into an unbelievable soccer player. But more than that, she’s built friendships, confidence, and a real sense of belonging.
And honestly, so have I.
The support we’ve found through Scottish—the friendships, the community—it means more than I can put into words. That’s the real legacy of sport. It brings people together, creates bonds that last a lifetime, and builds a kind of extended family that can carry on for generations. She wears that patch with pride and it shows.
Tonight was the first auto show I’ve attended since losing my dad, and it meant more to me than I can put into words.
I ran into so many people who knew him, and hearing them talk about the kind of man he was—how much he meant to them—was incredibly special. For a moment, it felt like I was walking in his shoes.
He was an amazing leader, coach, father, grandfather, and person. I’m so grateful that even years after his passing, people still remember him so fondly and speak about him with such respect.
Tonight reminded me not only of who he was, but of where I come from—and that’s something I’ll always carry with me. ❤️ And now as Bob Janis would say “let’s sell some fucking cars” @wolfegmcbuickyeg
Happy retirement,Doug Airey! Thank you for your incredible support and leadership over the years. Your guidance has made a lasting impact, and you will truly be missed. Wishing you all the best in this next chapter!
To my treadmill
Thank you for being there on the days when I could barely get out of bed — but I knew I needed to keep going. Thank you for every drop of sweat, every hard run, every bit of pain and suffering we’ve been through together.
There have been so many moments on you. So many miles. Countless hours after my dad died where I ran and cried and just let it all out.
You helped me find myself again.
You helped get me back into shape after having two children.
And today… today I danced on you. 💃
Today was a dancing-on-the-treadmill kind of day, and I hope I have many more days like this. I hope everyone does.
Happy Friday.
❤️Joc
