I couldn’t share this before because I was inside in Venezuela as everything was collapsing and changing faster than we could speak. Now that I am back in the US and won’t be detained or kidnapped by the Maduro pigs for simply expressing myself, here it is…For me, this isn’t just a music video or an album teaser. It’s a moment, a memory, a mirror ⁠of what we’ve lived and what we still fight for as Venezuelans. We shot Venezuelan drummers and dancers from the @tambornyc crew, barefoot on a rooftop in freezing New York. Raw, unfiltered, relentless. This Is an homage to our roots, our rage, our exile. These bodies, los tambores, el flow… it’s us, our unfinished story, still demanding change. Still dancing. To every Venezuelan out there balancing love, pain, hope, and anger in a foreign city or back home, this one’s for you. Feliz año carajo!
