A decade ago, when we first started getting to know each other, you told me that The Phantom of the Opera was the show that got away, especially when Cameron once told you that you had always been a diva. I still cannot believe that today you are living proof that dreams do come true, embodying such resilience and courage as you perform in the show you have long dreamed of, in the theatre you have always dreamt of performing in, going against your naturally belty voice to sing coloratura soprano every evening, carrying those heavy costumes, faithfully vocalising before I leave for work, and rehearsing your high E every single day.
I am so proud of you. I truly believe it is time for new dream shows now that you have brought so many of the characters and dream musicals on your list to life. I hope you continue to share your story and inspire more artists, as you have always advocated for representation, or RepresentAsian, in this industry.

Opening this year’s Olivier Awards held at the Royal Albert Hall is The Phantom of the Opera’s Masquerade and the title song to celebrate its 40th year. So proud to have been part of this company.
Such a beautiful and memorable day for everyone involved and it looked absolutely stunning.
Two of my lovely friends are set to play Mary Magdalene in the upcoming productions of @jesuschristsuperstar One in London, where you’ll see the wonderfully talented @desmondacc and the other in Manila with the lovely and equally brilliant @gabpangilinan Both superstars in their own right.
In the spirit of that and of Easter Monday, here’s a clip from the #JesusChristSuperstar London revival, featuring @stevebalsamomusic as Jesus and yours truly as Mary. This was from a promo we did for the show.

Last Sunday, March 1, I had the honour of playing Holy Spirit in Love Beyond - The Musical Concert at Cadogan Hall. I never imagined that the show, the music, and the people involved would touch me so deeply. It was an experience I will never forget.
Singing in a different register was such a joy. I was completely exhausted, but grateful for the opportunity to do this before returning to sing Carlotta in Phantom. It felt incredibly fulfilling.
I’m so grateful to my husband and friends who came to watch, and to everyone who supported the show. It’s a story that truly deserves to be heard and seen by many more people, and I sincerely hope the creators and composers (Richard Haley & Tabitha Webb) of this beautiful piece will be triumphant in sharing it with audiences around the world.
