What a job.
We said farewell to our production on Saturday. It’s always so fast the last day… two shows, packing everything up, feeling the time standstill as your mind reflects on the intensity of the last 4 months while wanting to stay absolutely present and enjoy the last performance.
This play and company of divine humans will have my heart forever. How grateful I am to have been surrounded by such talent, integrity, craftsmanship and devotion.
They all deserve to go onto great things… if this industry values artists who continually graft to keep a production fresh and vital EVERY performance.
One tries to let go gently at the end and let the experience move through you, just as it grew in you during rehearsals. And today feels like the first day of not getting back together and hearing our half hour call.
This company. Emotional gymnasts. Theatrical warriors. Atmospherical magicians. Soul searchers. Imagination imps. These are my people. Friends for life.
