Another memorable Father’s Day. Anytime I can be together with my family reminds me why I’m here on planet earth. And why we need to live and teach them our values. And show them our love, all the time. It’s easy to forget. They age, we age (although we are in denial). My love for Jazz has always been my life and love - even if my kids may not feel that way (yet!)- but I know that if you love jazz, you love life, you love all people, and you love hope. Happy Father’s Day and to all the fathers, amd all of us that love our fathers that helped us to be the fathers we are today ❤️
Funmi brought a shining light of positivity and warmth to whereever he went, whether to a nightclub, house party, concert hall or the office -- spreading and sharing his passionate love for the music and the music-makers. Nowhere was his indomitable spirit more evident than when he laughed, that deep gutbucket, soaring cackle that was fearless and proud of its might.
