Currently artist in residence at @houseofhulda - finding it hard to put into words how incredible my time here has been so far and how out of this world it is to both experience and create work in this part of Norway. I can’t thank Mariell and Ezra enough for inviting me here to paint and for creating the most beautiful space for artists, every inch of this house and the location is inspiring.. I’m having a v v good time x

Jo Kitchen (b. 1996) lives and works in London and graduated from Central Saint Martins. Her practice blurs the line between reality and fiction, drawing on personal memory, hindsight, and emotional association.
Starting from everyday objects and moments, Kitchen transforms the mundane into something charged and cinematic. Objects become memories, and memories become props in an ever-evolving narrative she continuously rewrites.

In a small café by the sea in Portugal they began with tarot cards as a shared system of symbols, building a visual language through play and interpretation. This exhibition unfolds as a study of collaboration, pattern, and intuition where meaning emerges through gesture, color, and collective imagination.
