This time a year ago, I got really sick. To this day the doctors couldn’t give me a diagnosis, but one out of the 15 symptoms was reactive arthritis in my knees.
My knees tripled in size. I could barely stand. Laying down was excruciating too. It was the most physical pain I had been in my life and it took me to some dark places.
For 3 weeks, I couldn’t go anywhere, so I went within. I was told I’d be out of commission for nearly a year. I told myself that if I get out of this, I’d make real changes. I’d take better care of my health and be grateful for it every day.
