I made this painting a few years back. It felt like an ode to Ramellzee. A cosmic explosion wrapped in handstyle composition.

My studio is my sacred place. Where ideas come together, fall apart, or lie in wait. It is my escape, and also where community can converge and celebrate. #gratitude

A restless tangle of black lines collides and loops across the page, layered over bursts of red that feel like heat, movement, and pressure all at once. Gray dots hold small moments of pause in the chaos.
Gesture vs control. Noise vs structure.
Letting the energy speak.

Continuing with the themes of collapse and fractured scaffolding. An abstractionist’s narrative to modern strife.

Three paintings having a disagreement.
What started as a system—grids, signals, something pretending to be orderly—didn’t survive the encounter. It fractured, repeated itself, contradicted itself. Color leaks where structure used to behave. Black lines hang on like bad habits.
This triptych isn’t about the moment of contact, but the awkward aftermath. The part where nothing lines up, meaning splinters, and the image refuses to settle into a single read.
One event. Three interpretations.
