We have a few new faces here and it’s been quite some time since I’ve done one of these, so here we go. Hello, my name is Jennifer and I am the owner of JMC Bloom. I started this journey 3 years ago in my garage based out of California. A few months later God open the door for my family and I to move here, Reno, NV. My little home based studio is nowhere near perfect but I love it. I am a wife to a enneagram 8, and a mama to two fierce, little dragons. They definitely have mama’s heart. I started working in floral design 12 years ago, trained by some of the best in the Roseville, CA area. Working with flowers is something that comes naturally to me. I often think that because I didn’t intend for this to become my career or go to “proper” schooling for it, I am not qualified to do it professionally. A misconception I feel we are often told. To me floral designing is life giving. It brings forth memory and emotion. Emotions of love, gratitude, and solace. I am passionate in finding new ways to bring beauty to the spaces around me through flowers. I love how floristry allows you to have freedom in your unique ideas or concepts. However, creating beautiful arrangements/installments for you, the client is what I love most. Whatever the task at hand, there is nothing better than the joy and honor I feel when you trust me to bring your dreams to life. Even though some of last year’s life events had limited JMC Bloom’s productivity I look forward to getting back at it more and more. I am grateful for all the love and support I have received thru the years and am excited to be serving the local Reno/Carson, NV area. Photo by: @theabasto.co

Hello October! October has always been my new beginning. The season brings change, the weather a bit colder, the air crisp, and the soul refreshed. I can’t explain in elegant words why or how, but in so many ways it’s just... magic. This year is no exception. Though we have been super busy behind the scenes with both business and personal life, today I will step outside, take a deep breath, and seek perspective, a grateful heart, and with it a new adventure. Not only are we rolling out a new, simplistic look for JMC Bloom, but without further delay, JMC Bloom presents JMC Bloom ft. Floured + Baked, Sourdough Baked Goods. Floral will still be my primary venture here. Working with clients to fulfill their event/wedding vision has and always will be one of my greatest passions. This small baking extension is to help bring warmth in the long winter months when the flowers are sleeping. It is another facet of my heart that sparks light in my soul, and I can’t wait to share it with all of you.

Boil a whole sourdough loaf in baking soda, bake it and you get this great pretzel style crust. Definitely have a few adjustments to make but this was suburb. #pretzelsourdoughloaf #sourdough #cottagebakery

They often say a home isn’t always a place but a person. You could tell @roslynn_covert and @jake_covert98 had found their home with each other. I was also at home working with these amazing fall colors on a beautiful farm. I’m so excited to finally share these amazing pictures and I look forward to hopefully doing more weddings at Kinship Ranch. I had a thought and I went with it. I love finding ways to add new flavors into my sourdough repertoire. There are definitely a few things I will be doing different next time but this was a win. Also peep one of my favorite cozy outfits from @shopdahl at the end - I love wearing items from her shop during bake days. ♥️ (No affiliation… yet, Hahaha. I just adore her and her shop. She has beautiful pieces that are versatile, 100% cotton and super comfortable) I highly recommend exploring her page/website.

My favorite country boy has survived. With most of our family and friends living in California, an early 40th surprise birthday party was a must to help celebrate my amazing husband. Thankfully I work around an amazing community of vendors, and I wouldn’t have been able to pull it off without them. From the venue, the planning, to the decor, the cake, pictures and overall execution it was perfect. Thank you to everyone who made it possible. With all of you I was able to surprise my husband for the first time ever. #40thbirthday Event Coordination: @reveriepicnics Venue: @1864tavern Photographer: @kelseaclaassenphotography Marquee: @alphalitrenotahoe Balloons: @balloons.by.kay Florals: @jmcbloom Treats: @jessica_ts_sweet_treats
