When I was heading into grad school in 2016, I knew I wanted to explore as many different kinds of writing as I could, alongside the playwriting/screenwriting I'd previously focused on. After writing a short story during my first semester, I made it my goal to develop that story into a full length novel by the end of my final semester at #SAIC. It seemed like a lofty goal considering my actual thesis was a separate play cycle. Regardless, I finished the manuscript by graudation day 2018. I devoted that summer to sending it to publishers, signed a publishing agreement with @NinestarPress that fall, and now, I'm excited to officially Reveal the Cover of my Debut Novel: "Testament," set for release as an E-book December 30th, 2019 with the Paperback coming out in January 2020.

This feels like a milestone worth noting.
I've been a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA for a while now, but being able to join the WGA is a goal I've been working towards for just as long. It's nice to feel like I'm heading in the right direction.

Passed my qualifying exams.
I am a PhD Candidate.
All it took was writing a 40 page prospectus, 33 pages of written exams done in 72 hours, a comprehensive oral exam covering 75 texts across 3 lists, and all these note cards.
It was hard. Old habits resurfaced. Insecurities flared up. Imposter syndrome was firing on all cylinders. But we got through it and learned a lot along the way.
Now, I just have to write a dissertation. NBD. 😭🎭🤓
Also, big thanks to everyone that has supported me along the way so far! I couldn't have made it to this point without all of your love, encouragement, and indulgence. I still have some work to do to cross the finish line, but it means a lot to have had ya'll rooting for me along the way.
