FINAL MAJOR PROJECT - OUTRAGE! Throughout history, protests have been the driving force behind some of the most powerful social movements, exposing injustice and abuse, demanding accountability, and inspiring people to keep fighting for a better future. Here at OutRage! we want to educate you on the importance of protest throughout history. Focusing on Women’s rights and LGBTQ+ rights, our website and interactive posters will show you information based on your location, offering key insights into how many of these prominent locations contributed to social movements of the past. From the QRs available on the public installations in Washington, Westminster, Manhattan, Kensington, Greenwich Village and Kennington, the OutRage! website can be accessed on both phone and desktop. Based on your location, you would have access to further information about the protests and movements that occurred there spanning from 1913 to 2010 from the Suffragettes at Hyde Park, to the Stonewall Riots in Greenwich Village. Also available for purchase from the website shop is the OutRage! publication! The OutRage! publication - which will be available to purchase from the Northern School of Art 2024 Degree Show - details the protests that fought for LGBTQ+ and Women’s rights between 1913 and 2020. Delving further in detail to the organisations and activists behind the protests, we learn more about the protests that got us where we are today. Made up of 80 pages that are spiral bound from both sides!

QUEER GARDENS PROJECT: PROCESS Queer Gardens is a community driven project exploring the deep connection between the lgbtq+ community and the natural world, encouraging individuals to claim space in gardens and celebrate their identity. As we build onto the gardening community, we invite you to reconnect, plant and cultivate your own gardens that reflect your personal journey, identity, and expresses your pride as we collectively celebrate their natural history of the community and embrace natures inclusive beauty. At its core, we hope to challenge the limiting and harmful stereotypes surrounding queer identities, by highlighting how diverse and fluid expressions of gender and sexuality have been mirrored by the natural world for centuries. THE NORTHERN FILM FESTIVAL PROMISE ME BY CURTIS J. BURNETT Last year i had the opportunity to produce a series of posters that would feature in the film Promise Me by Curtis J. Burnett in association with Green Lane Productions. They required a record fayre poster along with a number of others that would then line the walls of the characters bedroom. Promise Me? is a bittersweet drama aided by a music driven narrative. The piece explores themes of friendship, growth and development as we follow the lives of Arlo and Rosie, two struggling musicians trying to find their place in the world. FEEL BY NATASHA DRYMON I was also presented with the opportunity to design the poster for Feel, written and directed by Natasha Drymon. Feel follows a painter who is the first to receive an emotion and express it through her paintings. However, when she begins to paint negative emotions, she is summoned by the higher ones and a discussion is sparked as to whether the next creation should feel both the good and the bad. Premiering at The Northern Film Festival, i was then able to watch both films, see my work in print and how it had been used throughout the films. Due to my work being used throughout the set of Promise Me? I was included within the title credits (under graphics team).
