I’ve just heard the devastating news. Moya Brennan has left us, an amazing human being and for me, since a young lad, seeing her sing as Gaeilge on Top of the Pops, she was the voice of Ireland. I am sure we will see loads of beautiful tributes to be paid in coming days. 💚🎼✨

A vinyl only journey through boogie, disco, jazz-funk, house and post-punk flavours from Ireland. > From @jl_razza : I’ve been collecting Irish records of all genres for many years. All of these 7inchs, 12inchs and albums are from my own collection. Because it’s a small island with a small population, records are harder to find. There were many great bands who just released a few records, did a few gigs and disappeared.Often the vinyl run was 200-500 copies. I’m attempting here to weave these together with some newer music and with spoken word pieces also whilst keeping a nice flow. I’m playing with pitch control and wrong speeds too. Ireland is a country obsessed with music but outside of Ireland much of the house, disco, boogie, post-punk, jazz-funk, reggae and deviant pop stuff released on vinyl is unknown.I hope this mix exposes the great talent of these artists.
