First project using a tube laser! Steel reinforcement frame inside an existing bed frame. Also first laser cut + brake formed sheet metal parts. I was inspired after working with @briansmithdesign this summer to do more CAD, laser cutting, and bolting, and less time under the welding helmet. Very pleased with the result here, frame went together perfectly and is rock solid. Added 1.25” subfloor on top of the tube. #tubelaser #fusion360 #custom #furniture
When you’re a maker and your wife has a hobby then you make her stuff. Mini-project: “Milwaukbee”, an oxalic acid vaporizer kit for beekeeping.
This is the first time I’ve powered a 12V project with an 18V portable tool battery. It uses an 18V low-voltage disconnect to protect the battery followed by 12V 20A step-down converter, with a 3D printed case to keep the wiring tidy.
