I’ve been fortunate enough to have the chance to see THEE incredibly talented
@tamarbraxton multiple times on this tour. As I told her, I’ve been independently touring. lol
People often ask me, “Are you crazy? Why are you traveling to see her when you’ve already seen her?” I respond with two main reasons. First and foremost, she’s one of the most talented and greatest vocalists of all time. I mean, I said what I said. Secondly, it’s all about supporting your friends, the people who bring you joy, whether it’s through art or not. This is my way of supporting her and showing my love.
I feel a deep connection with Tamar that I can’t quite explain. When she’s been struggling, I’ve been struggling at the same time. Her bravery, courage, and art have been one of the things that have SAVED ME, and I’m not exaggerating. She’s one of the strongest women to ever exist, and I’m incredibly grateful to be living in the same time as her.
I recall attending a concert of hers a few years ago. As she sang “Circles” and “Broken Record,” I almost left the venue because I couldn’t hold back my tears. I was going through the most traumatic breakup at the time, and I wasn’t in a good place. However, something compelled me to stay until the end. At the end of the show, I had the opportunity to ask her a question, and she responded, “Just as much as you think I’ve saved you, you’ve saved me back.” It was a beautiful and intimate moment. I left the concert feeling so relieved and just happy.
With this post, I encourage you to listen to her new song “You On You” wherever you stream your music. Also, keep an eye out for her upcoming album.
I want to give a special shoutout to the amazing team that also elevated the experience and were the nicest.
