Still, at the age of 31 I’m still that little boy who was magically drawn to this film, felt the mixed emotions and pain of longing for something else out there, longing for belonging, longing for freedom. ♻️📦 I was asked to participate in HSY’s (@kiitoskunlajittelet ) art project and help challenge people to see the value in recycling as well as in waste itself.
I took on #cardboard as a subject matter, and decided I wanted to play with the idea of “high art” and look into re-creating one of the most well known and valuable pieces of art out there.
Using cardboard waste from my own household and waste I found discarded, I manually created this piece called “Girl with a Cardboard Earring”, which can be spotted decorating some of the HSY trucks driving around the capital area.

A couple of days ago I made the decision that I was gonna drop this while still in the ’year of the snake’. I had originally imagined myself finishing this (like so many other things…) to a much fuller extent, but, I felt it’s time to now let go…
I’ve been in these ☝🏼☝🏼 energies for so looOng that I’m deciding to move on. Shed and drop as much as I can.
”She”, and her anguish and painful longing have been with me as long as I can remember. Recently, that intense frustration and yearning (that I was again processing with yet another ’The Little Mermaid’ piece) had piled up in ways where it wasn’t feeling cute any more.
So I’m deciding to be finished with this. Even if things kinda still feel unfinished. Deciding to unclench from now on, choosing to let this grip loosen. Ready to stand on something new. Something that feels way easier and lighter.
Happy Year of The Fire Horse. It’s gonna be beautiful 👣
